Sr. Manufacturing Engineer (Automation)


 

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience. Vast experience with SolidWorks software. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, both as a leader/facilitator and a participant. Excellent theoretical and applied knowledge of design and mechanical engineering concepts. Working knowledge of quality improvement methods. Ability to perform financial analysis and cost justifications. Experience in the design and support of automation equipment and production lines. Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks with minimal supervision. Strong project management skills. PLC experience with mistake proofing Automation. Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, and Process capability studies. Experience with ultrasonic welding processes of plastics component, a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish)

 

DESCRIPTION:

SolidWorks proficiency, provide all machined parts to the project, from conceptualization, design, subcontracting to assemble them in the line. Automation knowledge. Be familiar with automation concepts to be able to gather information and download components as needed in the model. Create detailed layout of the automated project reflecting every single element, purchased or designed in house, control cabinet, safety fences and devices as well as material and personnel routes. Hands on approach, a mechanical inclined individual capable of assembling own designs and aid in the construction of the line in areas such as structure, electrical, pneumatic, and communication. Conceive, justify, plan, and implement significant cost reduction projects. Work closely with maintenance department to improve machine reliability/reduce downtime. Specifies and works with vendors and manufacturing staff on the installation and maintenance of production equipment. Provides technical advice and troubleshooting on complex processes and equipment. Provide technical leadership to a designated product line for all design and fucnction related aspects including day-to-day problem solving and long term strategic direction for the product design. Collaborate with plant staff to achieve high levels of customer service, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency. Conceive, justify, and implement product design improvements to resolve field failure modes and implement significant product design improvements to reduce cost through the use of alternate/lower cost materials, part redesign or elimination, or elimination of labor. Provide significant improvements to improve plant quality (defect reduction). Working with component suppliers and plant materials staff, implement significant improvements in component quality (defect reduction). Efficiently manage Bill of Materials, ECO and Product Deviations.

Sr. Quality Engineer


 

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar. 5+ years of experience in similar role. Customer contact; Negotiation skills to handle customer complaints. IATF experience. Ability to identify problems and resolve. Supervisory experience. Advanced analytical/Statistical tools and methods. Advanced inspection and testing, advanced product/process quality planning, foundation quality leadership, results oriented, strategic thinker. Bilingual (English/Spanish)

 

DESCRIPTION:

Executes the primary function and/or fundamental purpose of the position. Executes the strategic quality plan as a group with the quality and customer representative manager, maintaining the leadership of the continuous improvement activities in the quality areas, giving total support to the product quality and to the company business team. Establishing standards complying with the governmental and customer's requests, ensuring the objective fulfillment. Record and measure statistics which the position impacts, such as expense or production volume, maintenance expense, sales, payroll cost, capital expenditures, budget, purchases, value of inventories controlled, supervised employees (direct and indirect), etc. Direct responsibility to assure the quality of the process to improve and sustain the product's quality. Supervising all quality technicians. Assure quality of the product improving the process through the TPC tool. Usage of 8D methodology to solve problems.

Plant Operations Manager


 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, 10+ years of experience in product development; manufacturing, or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in Automotive Electronics. Ability to lead and develop others through support, training, etc. Must be able to manage staff toward departmental goals. Possess high degree of knowledge in area of product development/design, manufacturing, operations, quality, and planning. Must thoroughly understand, and be able to communicate to others, the interrelationship of product development with other departments. Program and project management skills and proven financial capabilities to maintain quality, cost, and timing of programs. Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience financial controller to undertake all aspects of management control, including financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Will coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Manage product cost calculation process. This role is an Engineering leadership position with site-level responsibility to plan. coordinate, and direct technology development, design and qualification products on new applications. Drive predictive performance on plant product and technology development activities utilizing tools and processes. Lead execution of robust Next-Generation PROLaunch design processes and continuous improvement/design. Lead development and execution of strategic planning initiatives, allocation of engineering resources, and technology roadmaps for plant engineering. Drive internal/external innovation activities across plant engineering and technology function, including IP management. Develop distributed design organizational capability for plant engineering and technology function. Develop close professional relationships with plant customers for developing new product requirements, major modifications of existing products, prototype qualification test requirements, and resolve product performance deficiencies. DESCRIPTION:

Support in approving and organizing all supply and labor; prepare labor reports. Analyze product costs and assist in reducing discrepancies. Strategize to reduce waste and labor costs in all engineering projects. Determine and evaluate execution of all projects and administer all methods and procedures as per the required system and supply standards. Create salary model budgets for all procedures of industrial engineering and provide assistance to all manufacturing facilities. Develop plans for the analysis of factory processes. Analyze plans for factory waste elimination. Support engineering department in the preparation of required reports on monthly and weekly basis. Design business plans and carry out communication to the production department. Stay up to date with industrial engineering procedures, associate with various manufacturing and production projects, keep track of productivity, design various processes and ensure that all procedures are carried out by following the safety standards. Monitor reporting procedures on a daily basis. Keep track of regular work activities of employees and ensure all processes are executed by considering the fiscal budgets; prepare strategic models. Supervise preventative maintenance schedules, inventory parts and daily consumable usage. Sr. Tooling Engineer


 

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. 7+ years as a tooling engineer with hands-on experience involving specification, procurement, qualification, maintenance, and repair of molds for injection molded components. Demonstrated experience in achieving results in areas of responsibility. Excellent theoretical and applied knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts. Working knowledge of plastic processing, statistical process control and process capability. Well organized, enthusiastic, high energy, strong work ethic. Ability to provide excellent customer service and obtain results working with others. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, Project. Experience working in a mold making company as a mold maker or mold designer. Proficient in the use of CAD (SolidWorks) and old flow analysis. Bilingual (English/Spanish)

 

DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for coordination of maintenance and repair of high volume injection mold tooling. Coordinate and document the internal and external activities of the mold improvement plan. Work with the business unit tooling engineers and planners to define and complete the tasks to have molds repaired. Control the logistics to send molds out to repair and bring them back on time. Work planners, process engineers and quality engineers to re-qualify molds after major mold repairs. Responsible of adhering external and internal molds to the corporate mold maintenance procedure. Work with internal and external molders to maintain mold preventive maintenance records. Identify, justify, and implement cost reduction projects to reduce the cost of maintaining and repairing injection molds. Coordinate the inventory and purchase of injection mold spare parts. Collaborate with tooling engineers, process engineers, and quality engineers to improve the performance and consistency of injection molds and molded components. Develop the mold capacity analysis for all the molding operation tools.
